CD template

This is a CD template I found when I was doing some research on the size of a album cover template I wanted to know to make my album look more realistic to the audience and make it look more professional, from this I now you the size of the width and length of a CD cover front and back. This is what I am going to use to make it as it will aid me on how to line it up with the correct measurements.

Final Album Cover

As a group I think that we have effectively and successfully created a album cover that represents our subculture which is from the retro and the street look, I also believe that that we have followed that the codes and conventions of our genre which is the subculture of hip hop alternative hip hop, which has helped us create a successful album cover. As a group we have recognised our artists name and the album title, in a way that could be attracted and easily noticed by our target audience, we also had to incorporate bright colours within the graffiti in the background which could make our artists stick out more. The artists are styled in a way that appeals to our target audience and our subculture and how we would want our target audience to dress so that they can be a part of this new subculture, which included the retro look of skinny jeans, brightly coloured clothes, vans and snapbacks (hats). We have also included a parental advisory logo to make sure that people over 18 should be caution when playing this song to minors as it may contain material that is inappropriate, also this logo is conventional to our genre because is what you would usually expect to see in hip hop album as this is what they are associated with.

Album Cover Shoot

As a group we made sure that we stuck to our shooting script schedule for our album cover and as a group we knew it was important because it we did not want to fall behind and as group we wanted to stay on top of things. As the group we decided that Hande should be the photographer as she had the most knowledge about photography, Hande produced several successful photographs that we took and we then decided to experiment and play around with to enhance them and make them look more professional for our album cover. When it came to photographing at the locations we had chosen we thought that they did not look enough conventional to suit the genre of our music video and also the subculture. We then found a Youth Centre that permitted us to try-out with a few photographs against a graffiti wall that was inside. We took a lot of numerous shots from different angles we was pleased and happy with the way the photos had come out. Here are some of the photographs from our photo-shoot.
